I grew up in a rural environment in Toten, in a small place called Raufoss. My creative path began with a pencil in hand, and a passion for drawing laid the foundation for my artistic development and visual language.
A few years later, at the Einar Granum School of Fine Art, I was given the opportunity to develop my practice as a painter. It was here that I began to explore new aspects of myself, and my painterly expression started to take shape. I quickly realized that this was the path I wanted to pursue.
Architecture in my work represents something solid and constant in life. Within these structures, chaos exists—stemming from a challenging past.
I experiment with the emotions that arise when we are placed inside the boxes and frameworks that society encourages us to exist within.
I create a new brutalist and surreal landscape where past and present merge into a colorful, harmonious, and expressive universe. Light, space, and shadow play a central role in shaping the atmosphere, and this is something I continuously work to develop.
